CRITICAL MESSAGE:  In the near future, your login will be checked against our database.  If your district hasn't paid the annual support/upgrade fees of $450.00 (ATR) and/or $200.00 (SDM), access to the download page will be denied.   This is in fairness to those that have paid and continue to support our efforts towards maintaining up-to-date assessment and student database software.

Latest Changes (7/1/05) to the Student Data Manager Program  include the changes to OHI and SLD categories.  The ATR program (Psychometrica Plenteous) has been updated to version 6.0.  There are several updated tests and some new tests have been added.  If you've loaded 6.0 or later, all you need to get are the latest test revisions and the PRATR??.EXE file where ?? is the two letters of your state.  The directions for downloading files are as follows:

1-Download the File you want by clicking on the .exe file name in the first column
2-Select the 'Save to Disk' option (Never select the OPEN option as this won't work)
3-Change the 'Save in...' option to the appropriate folder (Student Data Manager = SPED folder | Psychometrica Plenteous = ATR folder)
4-Click the save button
5-Overwrite the existing file by typing 'Y' for yes

Other Important Notes:

ALWAYS Use the same filenames; do not change the filenames or they won't work...

If the dates indicated on the tabled files are more recent than the dates on your current files, they should be downloaded to assure you of the most recent changes.  For example, if your WJ-III is dated 10/1 and the one on the table is 10/5 then you should download the one on the table to have the latest.  DATES ARE IMPORTANT!  You can check your dates by using the properties function in windows explorer.

If you can't download directly to your computer you can use the Windows 9x backup to transfer the files to other computers from the one you used to download.  However, this is not recommended.  Try to get the files on a CD.  It takes many diskettes to backup and transfer the entire program.  Once downloaded, files can be attached and e-mailed to other district users.

If you download a new or revised test, you will also need to download the main menu program to reflect the menu changes (PrATR[your state].exe).

If you have MS-WORD or MSOFFICE, you can download the manual and have it printed.  You will need about 100 sheets of paper in the printer.

To download a checklist (.chk) file, use the File, Save As..., option.   The checklist will be listed on your screen and you can Save the file with the same name on the table.  Be sure and use (save it to) the Chklist folder.  All other files are to be downloaded to the ATR Folder.

You must download the setup.exe file (as of Jan. 05) to get all the latest changes and upgrade to version 6.0.  Following this, updates (new tests, etc.) that are posted can be downloaded as in the past.    Once the Setup.exe file is saved on your PC, then go to Start, Run, and type Drive Letter: + Folder + Setup.exe to have the program loaded.  (Where Drive Letter = Your drive and Folder is the subdirectory or folder where you saved it on your pc)  After you've installed the program and all is well, you can go back and delete the setup.exe file as it is no longer needed.  This will free up a lot of disk space and is highly recommended.

SPECIAL NOTE:  If the description column of a file indicates the file is for TESTING ONLY, do not download the file unless you are testing changes for Micro-Sped.  Otherwise, we are not responsible for any problems that may occur.  If you would like to become a tester for us, let us know via e-mail and we will include you as an evaluator of our software.

MORE STUDENT DATA NOTES:  There are two Error Messages that a lot of you are seeing.   Neither is serious, and just requires correcting some data in the student records.   When printing the December Table, the message "ACCESS VIOLATION" means that you have a blank or incorrect Racial Data entered in one or more of your records.    To find the culprit, go to the Multivariable Search Option, click on one of the records on-screen and use the right arrow to move to the Race Column.  Now page down and preview the racial data.  If you see a blank or inaccurate entry, simply click on that field and fix it.  Once you've corrected it, press the down arrow key to move to the next record (this forces the change to be saved).  The other error is "" is not a valid floating point value.  Or it may say "%" or "A" is not a valid floating point value.  What this means is that you've entered text in a field that will only accept real numbers.  The two fields that are generally involved are Age and IQSCORE.  Again, in the multivariable search you can look for the problems.  Ages can not be blank.  IQSCORE can be blank, but can only have a real number in the field, not 95% or something like that.  Again, when you find the problem, fix it, press the down arrow and your printout will now work.
